Welcome to RBUSD Child Development Center!

Our school district’s Child Development Centers (CDC) have a long-standing tradition of supporting children and families in the Redondo Beach community. Established in 1969, our CDC was created to provide safe, high-quality care for young learners while meeting the needs of working families. Located on all 8 elementary school campuses, CDC offers before- and after-school care (7:00a.m.-6:00p.m.) for TK through 3rd-grade students, led by credentialed teachers and trained staff in a nurturing, school-connected environment. Students participate in developmentally appropriate activities such as creative arts, structured and free play, group games, quiet time, outdoor sports, and opportunities for homework support. The program emphasizes social-emotional development, positive relationships, and a sense of belonging, aligning with our district’s Strategic Plan focus on student well-being, early learning readiness, and strong school family partnerships.
